My artwork as a watercolorist growing up in Utah represents its vast and diverse landscapes of alpine peaks, rivers, valleys, wildlife and arid red rock deserts with expansive moody skies. These places inspire and remain my artistic playground. However, my work continues to evolve with my travels and a love for a good seascape and the occasional nocturne. My work is an invitation to the viewer to relate and experience the personality of a place. Whether from an outdoor plein air approach or in the studio, I strive to convey the atmosphere of place and time at the mercy of a 2D surface of paper. Armed with a brush, water, pigments, and over 20 years of experience, I am a constant student of nature.
