I really do love the Fall so much, when leaves turn such beautiful colors. But my joy is tinged with sadness when they fall from the trees, and wither on the ground ... turning into parchment-paper-thin skeletons which crumble into dust. Truly, conquests of the wind, and victims of Summer’s death. This "portrait" of dying leaves is representative of all those feelings for me.
